Hi! My name is Stephanie Whaley and I am the Speech-Language Pathologist at Pi Beta Phi Elementary School. I have been working in the Sevier County School System for the past five years and have enjoyed every minute of it. I am originally from New Jersey but moved down to Tennessee to attend college. I earned both my B.A. and M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology with a concentration in Aural Habilitation from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. When I graduated in 2003, I moved to Cincinnati to work with hearing-impaired children at Ohio Valley Voices. During this clinical fellowship year I obtained my Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology. In 2004 my husband proposed, and I made my way back to Tennessee to begin my career in the school system. I love working with children! They say the funniest things and always keep you on your toes. Although working with special needs children can be very challenging, it has many rewards. When I'm not at school I enjoy working out, traveling, hiking, spending time with family and friends and scrapbooking.
