This unit focuses on reading, analyzing, and writing elements of a newspaper. Content-specific vocabulary terms will be introduced throughout the unit. The students will review bibliography, quotations, verb usage, and propaganda techniques. They will analyze fact vs. opinion, listen for point of view and bias, and determine primary and secondary sources. They will write an article using a story map and a business letter to the editor.
