About Me
Hi! My name is Sarah Rooney. This is my third year teaching 4th Grade at Pinellas Central Elementary. I taught a year and a half at Starkey Elementary in Kindergarten. It was a wonderful learning experience! I would like to bring the creativity and fun from the Kindergarten world into fourth grade. My hobbies are my classroom, tennis, reading, shopping, and laughing. I love to laugh, and kids make me laugh a lot!
My goal is to teach the children the Pinellas County curriculum (of course), but to teach it in a way that makes it meaningful and fun! We will work very hard in our classroom, and I will be firm and consistent, but we will have lots of fun learning! My number one concern is your child’s safety, and I can guarantee you that I will treat your child as if she/he is my own. I am very protective of the children.
I not only look forward to getting to know my students, but to also establishing relationships with their parents. You will find that I am a very candid person, and you and your children will get to know a lot about me. So, let’s work together to be sure your child has a great year. A lot of my success as a teacher is because of the wonderful supportive community that is there for the students and me!
