Course Description

English has become the mode of communication everywhere. The course «Identity» will help you learn English language in order to communicate with the people from other countries. It will give you this practice through discussions, presentations, and writing activities.

 

The course is aimed:

  • to provide students with such skills as critical thinking, oral communication, listening, reading, composition;

  • to motivate the students' curiosity, and active interest in intellectual questions and social issues;

  • to increase the appreciation of their own cultural background and experience as well as the awareness and appreciation od a diverse world where all are interdependent;

  • to give the opportunity for students to study independently trough technological tools, that enhance language development.

Course Requirements

To improve language skills in oral communication, listening, reading, composition the students will be required:

  • to demonstrate evidence of maturity, responsibility, and preparation for study;

  • to be flexible and to cultivate self-discipline;

  • to set aside the proper amount of time to efficiency prepare for classes (for the next day's lessons, as well as completing the current homework assignment);

  • to follow the plan of the course's syllabus;

  • to interact with the teacher, if you need clarification of the discussed topic.
