 Mrs. Stewart's Third Grade

Welcome to Third Grade
I am so excited to have the priviledge of teaching such a fantastic group of students. My goal is to provide a safe, creative and enthusiastic environment that encourages student learning and participation. I am looking to forward to a wonderful school- year.  I am confident with hard-work and dedication your son/daughter will have a great year in third grade.

Snack Reminder
Students often get hungry and need a snack for an energy boost.  We will have time for a snack in the morning.  Please send in a snack daily for your child; I will have crackers and raisins available for students that forget.  I encourage you to send snacks that are of nutritional value, such as:  crackers, cheese, fruit, vegetables, etc.  Please remember that for the first TWO weeks of school, only fruits/vegetables are allowed. Students may also bring a water bottle to keep at their seats.  Please be sure that all bottles are labeled and can be tightly closed.

Birthdays/Parties - We have 19 students
We love to celebrate birthdays in our classroom; treats are welcome but not expected. If you decide to send something in; due to food allergies of students in our class, please notify me 48 hours in advance of the treat you will be sending. Items such as pencils, stickers, etc. make great birthday treats. Some parents have even bought a favorite book to add to our classroom library, in honor of their child's birthday! Also, please be sure to let me know if your child does not celebrate birthdays or particular holidays.

For class celebrations, I will make specific requests for treats that are safe for all of the students in our class. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation. The ultimate goal is a safe environment for all of our students.
