Welcome Students and Families,
I am excited for this year to begin and to get to know each of you. This will be my 13th year of teaching, my 11th year here at Tropic Isles Elementary. Tropic Isles and the teachers and students here hold a special place in my heart. I moved away from my extended family ten years ago and immediately found another one here a Tropic Isles. Tropic Isles is my home away from home and I will strive to help each of you feel the same way.
I am originally from Michigan, but moved here from Wisconsin where I taught for two years. I now live in Cape Coral with my husband Mark and my daughters Michaela and Maddison. Mark (Mr. McCreary) teaches 5th grade here at Tropic Isles. Michaela is in 3rd grade and Maddison is in 1st grade, both here at Tropic Isles. We are proud to call this our school!
I love teaching as much as I love Tropic Isles. I will do whatever I can to make reading as exciting as watching your favorite movie, to make math more concrete, and to make science fun, hands-on, and maybe even a little messy! I'll be integrating writing into everything we do! And with your help, I will add art, music, physical activities and lots of fun everywhere I can!
