1. Encourage your child to write stories or in a journal. Help him or her write sentence correctly.
2. Practice reading books together that are above your child's reading level. Talk about words he/she doesn't know.
3. Make a story out of spelling words.
4. Use flash cards to practice math facts.
5. Play school with your child and let them teach you what they learned in school.
6. Go over corrected papers that come home. Explain the correct answer to your child.
