The next practice is Wednesday and we will be taking sizes that day and ordering uniforms. Please see the parent meeting page for more information.
Cheerleaders from the 2010-2011 school year please bring your old uniforms to practice on Monday August 29 so that the new girls can be fitted for uniforms.
Parents of new cheerleaders, uniforms will be ordered this week, therefore all costs will be due this week as well. If you have any questions please email me.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Spirit squads should always cheer in a positive manner. It is inappropriate to cheer against the other team or to cheer in response to an opposing player’s mistake.

Cheers and chants with suggestive words and/or motions shall not be used because in many situations they bring about an inappropriate response.

Spirit leaders should discourage their followers from yelling or cheering while an opponent is shooting free throws. Intimidation of opponents has no place in interscholastic athletics.

Cheerleading squads will only practice at the facilities at their school.

Only WCPSS approved cheerleading coaches will coach the squads. (Also see rules 19, 20, and 21)

Cheerleading squads are required to cheer for all home football and basketball games. Each school may choose one away football game and one away basketball game for the cheerleading squad to attend, preferably rival games. Note: In order to attend these away games, the visiting school must notify the host school prior to the game.

If cheerleaders are approved to participate at an away game, they are required to use the transportation provided by the school administration.

Permissible costs that may be passed on to the cheerleaders would be limited to items related to the uniform (bloomers, socks, shoes, warm-ups, bags for uniform, etc.).
