Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s):
A new school year is upon us- and so are some changes in Physical Education. I would like to take the opportunity to introduce the program and myself. My name is Miss Dwyer, and I have moved to Garvin after five years of teaching physical education at North Cumberland Middle School. I am very excited to teach at Garvin for the 2010-2011 school year. The Physical Education program at Garvin will consist of developmentally appropriate activities that create maximum opportunities for development of skills, knowledge, health-related fitness, cooperation and ultimately, the confidence to enjoy an active, healthy lifestyle.
During this school year, we want to encourage you to participate in your child’s physical development and fitness. Please send your child with sneakers on days in which they have physical education class, so they are able to fully participate.
Thank you for partnering with our physical education program to develop your child’s lifetime health and fitness. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to teaching your child this year.
Sincerely,
Erin Dwyer
Physical Education Teacher
