Student Drop off in the Morning
A notice was sent home pertaining to student drop off in the morning. It is extremely important that parents adhere to the following regulations. There has been a great deal of congestion in the morning and it is becoming a dangerous situation, so the following steps should be followed.
1. Students should NOT be dropped off by parents prior to 8:25am. Until that time, buses are unloading and the student drop off location is not easily accessible to cars.
2. Students must be dropped off at the Student Drop Off sign, walk behind the fenced walkway, and enter the building through the front doors. Do not park your car in the lot or driveway and walk your child to this area. If each parent drops off at this sign, there is no need to walk with your children.
3. Due to limited parking for faculty and staff, parents are not to park in the parking lot unless they are entering the building. If you must enter the building, please park in the rear of the parking lot near the tree and dumpsters. Faculty members are having difficulty finding parking due to the large number of parents in spaces waiting to drop off children.
4. We appreciate your help in adhering to these regulations. They will provide a safer environment for all children and far less stress for parents dropping off children. At this time, cars are backed up to Diamond Hill Road at 8:15 and it is difficult for buses to enter and for police and fire to access the building in case of an emergency.
