     Thoughts to Ponder

CAN'T... This word should not be a part of your vocabulary.
Never to be used when talking about acheiving your goals.
Never to be used when it comes to you being you.
CAN'T, should not be an option.
If it comes to you doing something wrong or you are being asked to do wrong you say "I won't"

During my second month of college, our professor gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions until I read the last one: " What was the name of the woman who cleans the school?"
Surley this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50's, but how would I know her name?
I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade...
"Absolutely" said the professor. "In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant... They deserve your attention and care, even if all you say is "hello."

Important Lesson- giving when it counts.......

Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who was suffering from a rare and serious disease.
Her only chance of recovery was a blood transfusion from her 5 year old brother, who had miracusly survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat the illness. The doctor explained the situation to her brother, and asked the little boy if he would be willing to give his blood to save his sister.

I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying" yes I'll do it if it will save her." As the transfusion progressed, he lay in bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing the color returning to her cheeks.... Then his face grew pale and his smile faded.

He looked up at the doctor, and asked with a trembling voice, " Will I start to die right away".

Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his sister all his blood in order to save her.

So, let us say you are in a situation where you see something being done and you know it to be wrong. It is really wrong. You are with a group of friends and they see the same thing. If somebody dosen't say something this thing that is wrong, will happen again. Only the next time someone can get hurt, hurt real bad. My question is this.
Would you, yes you the person reading this, would you tell the proper person or persons about this?
Would you put yourself out there to help someone you may never know?
Really think about this before you answer, and be honest. Then think of the impact of your action.

[Kindly sent in by John Morris]

A holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one day and said, 'Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.'Thought for the day

The Lord led the holy man to two doors. He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in. In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water.

The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished. They were holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful. But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths. The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering.

The Lord said, 'You have seen Hell.'Spoon feeding
They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one.

There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man's mouth water. The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking.

The holy man said, 'I don't understand.'

'It is simple,' said the Lord. 'It requires but one skill. You see they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only of themselves.'

To create a goal without a means or method to achieving it, could be dangerous. Creating a method without a goal will be disastrous.

If you are a proud person. You felt confident in yourself and comforable in who you are. Now, when talking to a peer or an adult should you look the person in the eye as you talk or at the floor????

Should you talk clearly to them, and at a volume for them to hear you????
