Morning Activities
9:00 - 9:10 = Children arrive at school- Attendance, lunch count, seat work
9:10 - 9:30 = Calendar activities, weather, news, etc.
9:30 – 10:00 = Theme Activities
10:00 - 10:10 = Restroom Break
10:10 – 11:05 = Language Arts/Literacy Block
10:10 - 10:25 = Journal Writing (teaching and using Concepts About Print; such as ending marks, spacing, word, sentence, etc.)
10:25 – 10:45 = Literacy Centers (Phonics Skills: activities practicing names and sounds of letters; Phonemic Awareness: activities using letter sounds to read, make and write words.
10:45 - 11:05 = Literacy Lessons (letter name/letter sound/blending/fluency/writing practice/fluency
11:10 – 11:30 = Math Tubbing
11:35 - 12:10 = Lunch
Afternoon Activities
12:10 - 12:15 = Restroom Break
12:15 - 12:45 = “Centers” Centers are small group learning activities. There will be 4 centers. The children will visit one center each day. Two centers are "teacher directed" and the other centers are independent.
12:45 - 1:30 = "Rest and Relax" with my teacher assistant, Mrs. Heady
1:30 - 1:45 = Recess
1:45 - 2:00 = Snack, Story, “Froggy” and "Surprise Box"
2:00 - 2:30 = “Fine Arts"- Music, Library, Art, P.E. (Taught on a rotating schedule by Mrs. Tapper)
2:30 - 3:10 = Free Choice Time
3:10 – 3:30 = “Wrap Up” Talk about the day and make reminders about tomorrow
