HOPPING FOR GOOD BEHAVIOR

One of my goals for each of my students is to have good manners and make good choices all day at school.  I want the students to be praised for good behavior as well as be held responsible and learn from poor choices.  Everyday each child will begin their day with a frog in the pond.  At the end of the day if the frog is still in the pond a sticker will be put on the sticker chart in each child's folder, which is indicative of a great day.  If a child does not follow the classroom rules or school rules he/she will have to "hop" his/her frog down the wall.  Hop 1 is to the straight face (orange).  Hop 2 is to the uh-oh face (yellow).  Hop 3 is to the sad face (red).  If your child gets to red he/she will have a 5 minute time-out.  If any "hopping" occurs, your child and I will write a note home to you, which will let you know what happened.

Please check for a sticker on the chart or a small note coming home every day.  Take a few minutes to ask your child about his/her day and praise him/her for making good choices.  Kindergarten is so much work.  Some days their jobs are monumental!  Thank you for always encouraging your child's best!

C-2’s Class Rules

We raise our hands to speak,

And work quietly at our seats.

We keep our hand to ourselves,

And use voices soft and sweet.

We are helpful to our friends,

And we keep our places neat!
