HOPPING FOR GOOD BEHAVIOR

One of my goals for each of my students is to have good manners and make good choices all day at school.  I want the students to be praised for good behavior as well as be held responsible and learn from poor choices.  Everyday each child will begin their day with a frog in the pond.  At the end of the day if the frog is still in the pond a note will come home telling you that the frog stayed in the pond, which is indicative of a great day.  If a child does not follow the classroom rules or school rules he/she will have to "hop" his/her frog down the wall.  Hop 1 is to the straight face (orange).  Hop 2 is to the uh-oh face (yellow).  Hop 3 is to the sad face (red).  If your child gets to red he/she will have a 5 minute time-out.  If any "hopping" occurs, your child and I will write a note home to you, which will let you know what happened.

Please watch for a small note coming home every day.  Take a few minutes to ask your child about his/her day and praise him/her for making good choices.  Kindergarten is so much work.  Some days their jobs are monumental!  Thank you for always encouraging your child's best!
