Chapter 2- How Animals Live

Lesson 2- How do animals grow and change?

The Scientific Process
Problem Statement- What are you trying to find out? Think of a question

Hypothesis - an educated guess to the problem statement (must be written as and "If..., then..." statement) Make a prediction about what might happen

Procedure- the steps used to complete the experiment. Begin each step with a verb (ex. Mix, Stir, Add, etc.)

Materials-a list of the things you used to perform your experiment

PERFORM the EXPERIMENT (3 times)

Results- What did you find out or discover?

Create a data table to show your information using the metric system

Conclusion- a statement that includes the observations and the answer to the question


Application/Extension-SHARE and communicate with others what I learned and what I might test next
