Classroom Procedures
1. Entrance: Please enter the classroom quietly, respectfully, and prepared to work.
2. Work Time: You are expected to work from the moment you enter the classroom until you are dismissed by the teacher.
3. Attention: When your attention
is requested please stop working and
cooperate with the teacher.
4. Talking: You may talk in a low volume (inside voice) to the people at your table or next to you.
5. Completing Work: (grades 5-8)There will be project deadlines so be aware of your time spent in class for your grade will suffer if you are found not to be on task.
6. Questions: You are encouraged to ask for
help from your peers, or you may raise
your hand.
7. Bathroom/Nurse/Water: When possible visit these before you enter the classroom. Permission will only be granted in emergency situations.
8. Dismissal: The last 10-15 minutes of class is mandatory clean up time. The bell does not dismiss you, the teacher does. Remain in your seat and once your table’s area is clean and all supplies are set, the teacher will dismiss you by table to line up.
Rules
1. Respect art materials by using them as directed.
2. Be courteous to other students and to the teacher.
3. Listen and you will learn.
4. Create with an open mind, Never Say Never!
5. Think before you say or do, for every choice there is a consequence.
